Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. ~Leonardo DaVinci
July 12, 2012 – Look up, not down, but watch our for curbs. Look forward not backwards, but learn from the past. Dream big, but celebrate the small. Recognize that life is complicated, but try your hardest to simplify things. And don’t forget to appreciate the individual trees within the forest.
I’ve been trying to get a shot of these tiny little flowers (Blue Star Creeper) for a few days but I haven’t been happy with any of the shots until this one sort of caught my eye. The flowers are less than 1cm across and I didn’t think I’d be able to actually get the camera underneath one, but this one has a slightly longer stem than the others and cooperated somewhat. Every other shot had too much in focus and it made the shots too ‘busy’.
I like this one because only the one flower is in focus, it’s simple, and simple is usually good.

I love your bokeh! Paige
Happy Friday and weekend!
You are doing wonders with a LX5. Nice.
Thanks Harris, you have a wonderful weekend too!
@Theophilus_One – it’s a wonderful little camera. While I picked it up as a backup to my DSLR, I definitely take more shots with it than the Nikon these days simply because it is small enough to always have with me. (And thank you for the compliment)
