Amazing how close cats can get to heat without catching fire....! Cookie likes to sit on my knee in front of the stove and dangle bits of herself in the warmth - to be fair she's keeping me warm too so we both benefit.

Our old fellow (Tiko) used to do the same, but he'd belly right up to it and we'd get a bit worried that he'd catch fire so we'd reach down and pick him up and rotate him once in a while. He wouldn't miss a beat and never budged. Like roasting a turkey minus the basting.

Familiar scenario, Oscar too, but my heater is a good bit taller than him and he sprawls on the floor in front of it, so I get the benefit too :)
