203/365 (July 22, 2010) – The penny, everyone hates it, it weighs down the change purse and doesn’t add up to enough to buy much unless you have a jarful. And in the jar is where most of them end up.

I’d love to know how much all the pennies in jars would add up to.

And the penny is so prevalent in our language -

“Penny for your thoughts”

“A penny saved is a penny earned”

“A penny is a lot of money, if you have not got a penny”

“Throw a penny in the fountain”

“He’s a bad penny”

“In for a penny, in for a pound”

“…earned every penny”

“…not one penny in return”

“…worth every penny”
