Day 210 - Paradise so Close

Day 209 - Paradise so Close

210/365 (July 29, 2010) – Took another “getting to know you” ride on the motorcycle today. A nice leisurely ride out to Horseshoe Bay, then around the corner to Whytecliff Park and back. It’s been years since I’ve stopped in at Whytecliff, probably haven’t been here since we stopped SCUBA diving. It’s such a beautiful little spot, and so close, and when you look out you feel like you’re at the end of the earth, not just a few km from home.

There wasn’t a lot of traffic, so I was able to work on my cornering and leaning at lower (more difficult) speeds. We’re getting along so far.

This really is the most beautiful city on earth!

Mountains, ocean, rivers, lakes, parks, islands, and all within easy reach of a city with fabulous restaurants, theatres, and a wonderful temperate climate.

Is that why we stopped diving? Because an itty bitty little rockfish frightened you ;-)
