The emptiness of the early morning airport terminal.
I was waiting for Kirk to arrive home from somewhere and the airport seemed so empty. Maybe because it was. This one person was watching something on a television screen, but it almost felt like they were waiting and hoping that their luggage would materialize after everyone else had left…. The reality was that she was just waiting for someone arriving on that early flight, the same as I.
Just love this – says it all about loneliness in the city. I’ve been there of course – waiting by the carousel for luggage that never arrives……… ( I was in Spain – luggage in Honolulu. Easy mistake)
Saw this on 15 challenges; beautiful shot. Such a mundane location, but you transformed it into a claustrophobic scene. Love it. The angst permeates throughout.
