171/365 (June 20, 2010) – Loki’s timer went off over 30 minutes ago. The only cat I know of that can read a clock with pinpoint accuracy.
Dinner must be served at “PRECISELY” 6pm…or else!

141/365 (May 21, 2010) – I know, I’ve heard it all before. “Oh, he’s so cute” & “Look how pretty he is!” & “What a sweetie”
NO!
He’s sucking you all in!
We’ve lived with him for 20 years! He’s pure evil!
Oh sure, he looks sweet enough, and he “can” be sweet….”When” he chooses to be…which isn’t all that often.
And yes, we are probably stuck with him for another 20 years…or so….
Cats, dogs, gerbils, hamsters. They are all easy. Live with a parrot for a while… it will seriously try your patience and test your limits… If you are thinking about having children, try a parrot first.
Or, if you really want to torture yourself, forgo children altogether and get parrot, becease (really) it’s like having a perpetual two year old…for about forty to 100 years (species dependent).?
Day 134 – The Loki Monster!

134/365 (May 14, 2010) – Finally got the garden back in shape after spending close to an hour and a half trying to dig out a massive Yucca that had more or less taken over our lower patio.
All the while, Loki was doing his best to try and claw his way through the screen to get out and join me.

Day 108 – Portrait of a Monster!

108/365 (April 18, 2010) – Yeah, I know he’s cute, and photogenic, and all that other stuff. And he’s loveable and everything else.
But he’s horrible.
He’s a Monster.
Really!
Why?
Because he’s driven by his stomach. And he can read a clock and tell time. He knows that breakfast is around 6am, and dinner is around 6pm. And he starts working on you about an hour before that. Which isn’t too bad in the evening…but 5am? C’mon!
He moans, and cries, and whimpers. All in your ear. And if that does’t work, that cold wet nose finds its way into your ear, or your nose, or your mouth.
Yuck.
He’s horrible. In a lovable sort of way…..
