62/365 (March 3, 2010) – Sunrise. The time of day when the world just seems to stretch and rub it’s eyes. I love this time of day because it is peaceful and seems to be holding its breath before the chaos of the day unfolds. The thing is, I never seem to witness my favourite time of day unless I…

61/365 (March 2, 2010) – When I lived in the North I never noticed birch trees unless I was looking for fire starter. Then I moved to the coast and suddenly noticed that there were no birch trees. It was a great exhibit, the only downside was that the sarcophagus was not present. I think they are in England, but not totally sure.…

Heading off to Ontario for a week, so offline for the same amount of time. I’m now playing catchup…. I actually love flying, even with the episode on the flight to England last year. I always shoot for the emergency exit seats. Not because I think there will be a problem, but because i love the extra leg room. They…

I arrive, hold on to my passport and start the conversation with, “See, here’s the thing, I have a problem and I’m pretty sure you’re going to turn…
Read more »You never get the car you reserved… often that works in your favour. When you rent a car in cold climate…. they never include an ice scraper. Work trips always seem either to take more time than you planned for in which case you are scrambling to finish…. or less time than you think and you are left stranded in…
Read more »I just took a quick look at the Coquihala webcams… the flight wasn’t cheap, but not having to deal with these roads…. well, suffice to say that the flight was worth it. It’s actually hard to believe these pictures considering I took the third photo this afternoon between Vernon and Lumby!
Read more »I am on a work trip up to the Southern Interior, Lumby to be exact. Where the heck is that? Hang an East at Vernon and drive until you reach a four way stop with a flashing red light. You’ve arrived. Not much here. I suppose it’s quaint, probably lovely in the summer. But when you are looking around at…
