59/365 (February 28, 2010) – On the road again. This time a short hop from Toronto to Thunder Bay to visit a friend for a few days. Kirk was in TO for a week for business and it seemed like a fun way to visit both his family and my best friend by crossing paths and then heading on while…

Heading off to Ontario for a week, so offline for the same amount of time. I’m now playing catchup…. I actually love flying, even with the episode on the flight to England last year. I always shoot for the emergency exit seats. Not because I think there will be a problem, but because i love the extra leg room. They…

54/365 (February 23, 2010) – Wonder what this will do to the events left on Cypress…maybe, just maybe, it will snow?

53/365 (February 22, 2010) – Vancouver wanted to be the greenest Olympics ever, but this wasn’t quite what VANOC meant.

52/365 (February 21, 2010) – The Olympic red mittens were a solid home run for VANOC. By recent estimates, about 3 million pairs have been sold. And at $10 a pair, what a bargain. But the cute thing is that they have been showing up in strange places. Some enterprising soul (or souls) has (or have) been adorning various statues…

I’m so annoyed by the bitching coming from the other side of the country. “Not enough French” Seriously? Give me a break. Vancouver doesn’t have a French sign anywhere except at the airport or at Federal facilities and other locations where law more or less requires it.

50/365 (February 19, 2010) – I’ve been mulling this over for the past few days. For some reason, media in different parts of the world have been slagging the Olympics, Vancouver, and Canada. Interestingly, it’s generally media people who are not or have not been here to experience any part of what is happening. And I’ve also been mulling over…
