Day 59 - Neither Here Nor There

59/365 (February 28, 2010) – On the road again. This time a short hop from Toronto to Thunder Bay to visit a friend for a few days. Kirk was in TO for a week for business and it seemed like a fun way to visit both his family and my best friend by crossing paths and then heading on while he headed home. It also meant that the cats only needed a sitter for the weekend.

I love the serenity of being above the clouds, if only for a short period. There is something amazing that we can soar up here and feel so isolated from the rest of the planet.

Wouldn’t it be amazing to be able to fly alone…. I really do want to try gliding.

Day 58 – It’s Been a long Day

Day 58 - It has been a long day

We visited the Art Gallery of Ontario today. Kirk saw that there was an exhibit on King Tut and wanted to take it in. Happily, so did both of his sisters and associated other halves. It was a great exhibit, the only downside was that the sarcophagus was not present. I think they are in England, but not totally sure. Someday I’d love to see them up close and personal.

This fellow looked to have worn himself out completely. A feeling I’ve been sharing since coming back home to Vancouver and getting back on my own time zone. Why is it always easier to jump ahead than fall back?

Day 57 – Leaving on a Jet Plane….

Day 57 - Leaving on a jetplane .....

Heading off to Ontario for a week, so offline for the same amount of time. I’m now playing catchup….

I actually love flying, even with the episode on the flight to England last year. I always shoot for the emergency exit seats. Not because I think there will be a problem, but because i love the extra leg room. They are the only seats that I will happily take a window. Otherwise, give me an aisle please. Two reasons.

#1. I can stretch easier

#2. I can get in and out without crawling over someone

The flight to Toronto was uneventful and clear sailing the entire way.

Day 56 – Only One?

Day 56 - Only One?

56/365 (February 25, 2010) – Better get there early then!

What else can you say….I hate poor grammar in the final copy, but sometimes they give you a great opportunity for a photo!

Heading out to Inch Creek Hatchery for a morning meeting. Saw this on the way and made a mental note to pull a U-turn and photograph it on the way home. Surprisingly my flea sized memory recalled it and I managed to take the shot.

’nuff said.

Day 55 - Go Canada, Go!

55/365 (February 24, 2010) – Canada lost to the US in Men’s hockey….for the moment. Our big hurdle was Russia. Russia vs Canada holds more Canadian interest than Canada USA…surprisingly.
